A teen has been charged in connection with the shooting and robbery of a man in the South Shore neighborhood on Wednesday.
According to police, the 16-year-old is one of the suspects who robbed a 28-year-old in the 6700 block of South Chappel Avenue around 1:45 a.m. and then shot him in the hand.
According to police, the victim fled and drove to his home, where he dialed 911. According to officials, he was taken to South Shore Hospital and was listed in serious condition.
The adolescent was apprehended on Monday in the 6700 block of South Jeffery Boulevard.
He faces aggravated battery with a firearm and armed robbery charges.
