
Thursday in Las Vegas, two people were killed and at least six others were injured in a violent stabbing.
Witnesses told Fox 5 that some of the victims were showgirls taking pictures with tourists.
On the scene, reporters heard from Sheriff Joseph Lombardo that there had been eight victims;Three were in critical condition in a hospital, while two had passed away.
He went on to say that a suspect was taken into custody and that a kitchen knife had been found at the scene.
According to Police, the incident started around 11:42 local time on South Las Vegas Boulevard, near the Wynn Las Vegas and the Resorts World Casino, two major resorts in the city.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal was informed by a visitor from Montreal, Canada, that he observed “a lot of blood on the ground.”
Pierre Fandrich, speaking in French, stated, “There was one showgirl on the ground.”On top of her, another showgirl was attempting to assist her friend.She didn’t notice she had been stabbed in the back because she was helping the other showgirl.
From the Las Vegas Strip, a video that was shared on Twitter showed paramedics urgently pushing a medical bed. One of the victims was wearing a skirt covered in red feathers, and tourists on the streets looked shocked.
