On her way home from school, an 11-year-old girl was allegedly sex abused by a driver who pulled into an alley on the South Side

On Thursday afternoon, a man dragged an 11-year-old girl into an alley and sexually abused her there. Chicago police are looking for him.
The suspect approached the girl from behind as she was walking home from school around 3:30 p.m. in the 6200 block of S. Indiana, according to a police community alert.
According to the police, the man put his hand over her mouth before dragging her into a dark alleyway where he sexually abused her.According to police, the girl was able to free herself and fled.The man turned around and ran away.
Police describe the suspect as a Black man between the ages of 45 and 60, between 5’8″ and 5’10,” with a thin build, graying hair, and a mustache or goatee.He was sporting beat-up black work boots, jeans with a silver belt buckle, and a black shirt with a rip on the right sleeve.
Children should walk in pairs or small groups, according to the police, and 911 should be called immediately if they notice anyone or anything suspicious.
Kenya Jelks, whose family lives nearby, stated, “You can’t allow your kids to walk anywhere alone these days.”That is extremely frightening, and I hope she receives the necessary therapy and stops walking home alone.We should all take this as a warning.
