Possible Chicago connection to serial killings in Northern California

According to KTXL, the police in Stockton, California are looking into the possibility that a serial killer in that region could be the same individual who was responsible for the deaths of two people in the Rogers Park district of Chicago.

In the fall of 2018, the suspect known as “The Duck Walk Killer” was responsible for the murders that took place in Rogers Park. When Douglass Watts was out walking his dogs near his home in the 1400 block of West Sherwin Avenue, he was approached by an unknown individual who pulled out a gun and shot him. The following day, Eliyahu Moscowitz was shot as he was walking on a walkway in the 1100 block of West Lunt Avenue. The location of the shooting is unknown.

Both victims had been shot in a manner consistent with an execution. When the cops found them, both individuals still had their wallets and phones on them when they were discovered.

According to the police, the same gun was used in each of the homicides.

There are parallels to be seen between the suspects’ walking styles in Stockton and Rogers Park. The individual has been described as having an odd walk, an uneven stride, and an upright stance by the Stockton police. The Chicago police identified a number of distinct features associated with “The Duck Walk Killer.”

Since April of the previous year, a total of six persons have lost their lives in the cities of Stockton and Oakland. The most recent assault took place around the end of the previous month. The use of ballistics connects each of the killings.

There has been no confirmation from the Chicago police department that they are in communication with the Stockton police department. A spokeswoman for the Stockton Police Department stated that an anonymous tip prompted the department to make contact.

There is a reward of up to $125,000 available for information that leads to the capture of the serial killer.
