A man stabbed a woman as she attempted to enter a residential building Friday evening in Humboldt Park, and another woman arrived on the scene and shot the man several times.
Around 8:17 p.m., the 33-year-old woman was attempting to enter a residential building in the 700 block of North Spaulding Avenue when a 62-year-old man approached her with a knife and swung at her.
When a 54-year-old woman arrived on the scene, she shot the man several times.
The 33-year-old woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with stab wounds to her hand and thigh and is listed in good condition.
The man was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and is in critical condition.
The woman, 54, has been arrested and police are still investigating.
There were no other reported injuries.
