Vaccinated people are now included in Illinois mask recommendations.

The state of Illinois is urging its residents to continue covering their faces on Friday.

“All individuals, including those who are fully vaccinated, are urged to wear a facial covering accordance with CDC guidelines,” reads the most recent Executive order issued in response to COVID-19 in the state of Illinois.

The language of the directive has been amended so that it now encourages all individuals, not only those who have not received their full vaccinations.

This instruction does not mandate the use of masks; rather, it merely suggests doing so. On February 28, Governor JB Pritzker removed the previously mandated use of face masks.

This order will continue to be in effect until the 12th of November.
