Police report 28 shootings and 5 fatalities in Chicago over the Holiday weekend.

According to authorities, at least 28 individuals were shot, five of whom were killed, during the Thanksgiving weekend violence in Chicago.

According to Chicago police, two individuals were killed and two others were injured in a shooting on the city’s South Side early Saturday morning. According to authorities, the incident occurred shortly after midnight in the 12700 block of South Halsted Street in the West Pullman area. When someone pulled out a gun and began shooting at the victims, they were at a gathering.

According to authorities, two victims, 34 and 36, were shot in the head and taken in critical condition to Christ Hospital, where they died. Their identities have been revealed. According to authorities, a 27-year-old man was wounded in the back and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition. A fourth victim, who had been shot in the leg, was self-transported to Roseland Hospital and was in good condition. Detectives are investigating, and no one has been arrested. He was discovered laying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the head and chest at 12:30 a.m. in the 6800 block of South Prairie Avenue, according to Chicago police. His exact age remained unknown. A man was shot and killed hours later after an argument inside a residence in Auburn Gresham on Chicago’s South Side. The 60-year-old was arguing with a man he knew in the 7800 block of South Honore Avenue at 3:40 a.m. when he was shot in the chest, stomach, and thigh, according to Chicago police. According to police, he was transferred to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died. According to authorities, the gunman departed the apartment after leaving a handgun at the site, which officers later recovered. Shortly after the incident, he was apprehended near the location. A guy was shot to death at West Garfield Park on the West Side on Saturday night. The 40-year-old man was shot in the head in the 4700 block of West Harrison Street around 7:50 p.m., according to Chicago police. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, where he died, according to police. There were no arrests reported.

A 17-year-old boy was shot nonfatally Saturday night in Chicago Lawn on the South Side. According to Chicago police, the adolescent was standing on the sidewalk in the 6600 block of South Washtenaw Avenue when someone in a car fired rounds at 6:20 p.m. According to authorities, he was rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the back. Local cops are looking into it.
