Tuesday morning, a Metra Rock Island train collided with a car in Midlothian.
Metra Rock Island inbound train #400 collided with a car at the grade crossing between Willow Crest and 149th Street around 5 a.m.
In Midlothian, Rock Island Mainline inbound and outbound train service was suspended. Metra later stated that passengers from train #400 would board train #402, which may be delayed.
According to Metra, no one was hurt on the train. There was only one person in the car, and it is unknown whether or not the person was injured.
