On Sunday, Chicago police displayed a photo of guns recovered.

In a photo posted on Twitter, Chicago police revealed that they recovered at least 17 guns on Sunday alone.

The photo was captioned by the police department’s 5th District: “Thanks to all the 005th District Officers who recovered several weapons today.”

Four people were killed and at least 12 others were injured in shootings in Chicago over the weekend.

Two men were killed and a woman was critically injured in a drive-by shooting on Austin’s West Side on Friday night. Around 11:15 p.m., a man, 29, and a woman, 29, were driving south in a vehicle. Chicago police said a person inside a beige SUV opened fire Friday in the 200 block of South Cicero Avenue. The shooter struck the man in the head, armpit, and thigh. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and died there. Another driver, a 36-year-old man, was shot in the back and died at the same hospital. The woman had been shot in the head, arm, and back. She was taken to Stroger Hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Two people were found shot less than two hours later in Gresham on the South Side. According to police, one person was shot twice in the chest and taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Oak Lawn, where he died. Clarence Williams, 28, was shot in the head and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Officers discovered a handgun next to him.

Two people were injured in non-fatal shootings inside a business in Greater Grand Crossing Saturday afternoon. Around 12:20 p.m., a man entered the business in the 600 block of East 79th Street and fired shots at a man and a woman. The 18-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition. The 24-year-old woman was hit in the back. She went to South Shore Hospital and was listed in fair condition.

A man was shot during an attempted carjacking in Clearing on Chicago’s Southwest Side on Sunday night. The man, 34, was inside a vehicle in the 6400 block of South Cicero Avenue around 7:50 p.m. when multiple suspects pulled out firearms and demanded the vehicle, according to police. According to police, the man and one of the suspects began fighting when someone opened fire, striking the man multiple times in the abdomen. He was taken to Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, according to officials.

Between 5 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, at least eight other people were shot in Chicago.
