To keep tradition alive, a Chicago man jumps into Lake Michigan during a cold spell.

Despite the freezing temperatures, a Chicagoan is making a name for himself and carrying on a family tradition.

Dan O’Conor, also known as the Great Lake Jumper, jumped into Lake Michigan on Friday.

This is a daily tradition he began in June 2020, at the height of the pandemic, and he has successfully maintained for more than two years.

However, most medical professionals would not recommend swimming in negative seven-degree weather.
