Police in Chicago say a man was kidnapped at gunpoint in the Northalsted neighborhood.

Last Friday, a man was robbed and kidnapped at gunpoint in Chicago’s Northalsted neighborhood, according to police.

A 26-year-old man was walking in the 800-block of West Cornelia Avenue around 10 p.m. when two people wearing dark clothing and ski masks approached him, according to Chicago police.

According to police, they displayed a handgun and demanded his personal belongings.

He was then forced into his car and driven more than 17 miles to an ATM in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. The robbers took money from his account, dropped him off in the 8300 block of South Kerfoot Avenue, and then fled with his vehicle, according to police.

The man refused medical help.

No one was in custody at this time, as police continue to investigate this terrifying robbery and kidnapping.

The incident happened near Wrigley Field, where five robberies and abductions occurred last October.
