One person was killed in a crash on the Bishop Ford Freeway near Pullman, and southbound lanes are closed, according to Illinois State Police.

According to Illinois State Police, one person was killed in a crash on the Bishop Ford Freeway on Sunday morning.

According to police, the crash occurred at 5:04 a.m. on Interstate 94 southbound near 111th Street. Troopers responded to a report of a pedestrian-vehicle collision. One person was declared dead.

According to police, another crash occurred while a trooper was directing traffic. A vehicle collided with their squad car, but the trooper was unharmed.

The investigation has closed I-94 southbound near 111th Street. Traffic will be diverted to 103rd Street.

Police did not immediately release any additional information about the crash.
