A Racine man is accused of shooting at another vehicle during a road rage incident on Sunday.
Dylan Creekpaum, 27, was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and cannabis possession.
On Feb. 5, around 12:02 p.m., Illinois State Police Troop 3 received a 911 call from a victim who said he was driving northbound on Interstate 94 near Old Orchard Road when his vehicle was shot by a driver in another car during a road rage incident, according to ISP.
The victim, a 25-year-old Antioch man, was unharmed.
ISP broadcasted a radio alert to other police departments in the area about the crime and the wanted suspect vehicle.
ISP described the suspect vehicle as a silver Chevrolet Cruze with Wisconsin registration.
Skokie police officers discovered the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on I-94 northbound near Old Orchard Road.
The driver, identified as Creekpaum, was apprehended without incident. At the time of his arrest, a firearm was discovered on his person.
Police discovered 500 grams of cannabis while searching Creekpaum’s vehicle.
The bond for Creekpaum was set at $300,000.
