Police say a 25-year-old South Shore resident was fatally shot by a Chicago man

A Chicago man is accused of fatally shooting another man in the head earlier this month in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood.

Edwin Sims, 24, was charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, and one count of armed robbery with a firearm.

Sims fatally shot a 25-year-old man in the 1600 block of East 78th Street on February 7, according to police.

After being shot in the head and left arm, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sims was arrested and charged on Monday.
