A suburban high school football player is hospitalized for a week due to an injury.

The physical nature of football, in which large bodies collide at high speeds during every play, is a concern for anyone of any age who dons a helmet.

In October, Kamron Singleton, a senior in high school, played his final game of the season. It was likely his last.

“I couldn’t breathe, the air was knocked out of me,” he said.

In the 10th play of the first quarter of the Westmont High vs. Aurora Central Catholic game, he suffered a serious injury during a tackle.

“Next thing I feel, I just feel something just hit me in my stomach,” he said.

“When the doctors tell you, “Oh, if your son had boarded that bus, he could have suffered septic shock and died.” As a parent, hearing “He could not have been here” does affect you “said Shirkeya Wash, mother.

In a video provided by Wash, her high school-aged son can be seen being tackled while the football is flying over his head. The video has been paused by ABC7 prior to impact.

Cheerleader younger sister was observing from the sidelines.

“Typically, you know, I would allow it to occur. He gets it. But something didn’t feel right “said Keniya Singleton, younger sister.

Kamron was taken out of the game and said he hoped to return eventually.

“However, for the next 30, 45 minutes I will remain in the same position. Ended up vomiting. The ambulance arrived to examine me. They were unaware of what was occurring “He remembered.

“He appeared to be breathing erratically. And he was just like, ‘I’m cold. I’m just cold,’ “said his older sister Kyla Singleton.

It was in her car, on the way home, that a painful turn of events occurred.

She recalled, “We were going over train tracks, and he just screamed for us to stop,”

Kamron was taken to the hospital, where his family learned his injury was much worse than they imagined.

“Come to find out Kamron had a tear from his small intestines, well, his stomach to his small intestines,” Wash explained.

After three days in the ICU and a week total in the hospital after reconstructive surgery, his plans to hopefully return to the field are not deterred.

“I still love the sport, and it’s not something I want to stop,” Kamron said.

After 13 years of marriage, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have announced their divorce.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen announced their divorce on Friday, ending a 13-year marriage between two superstars who reached the pinnacles of fashion and football.

The announcement came during Brady’s 23rd NFL season, just months after the seven-time Super Bowl champion ended his brief retirement.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, who had long expressed a desire to spend more time with Bündchen and his three children, announced his retirement in February, only to reverse his decision 40 days later.

“What else do you need to prove?” Bündchen told Brady on the sidelines after his last, record-breaking Super Bowl victory, which Brady later recounted.

Despite initially stating that his retirement would allow him to devote his “time and energy to other things that require my attention,” Brady’s motivation to return was “unfinished business” with the Buccaneers. Last season, the team failed to reach the Super Bowl in their attempt to repeat as champions.

Bündchen told “CBS This Morning” in 2017 that she was worried about her husband after he suffered a concussion the year before. Brady’s former team, the New England Patriots, and his agent both declined to respond to her remarks at the time, and an NFL spokesperson said there were no records indicating he had suffered a head injury. Brady later stated that he would prefer to keep his medical history private.

During the interview, Bündchen stated, “I mean, we don’t talk about it. However, he has had concussions. I don’t think it’s a good thing for anyone to go through.”

She recently claimed that the portrayal in media reports that she was desperate for her husband to retire was sexist.

“Obviously, I have my reservations. “This is a very violent sport, and I have children, and I would like him to be more present,” the supermodel said in September to Elle magazine. “I’ve definitely had those conversations with him numerous times. But, in the end, I believe that everyone must make a decision that is best for them. He, too, must follow his joy.”

Bündchen and Brady met through a mutual friend and married – twice – just over two years later. They exchanged vows in early 2009 at a Catholic church in Santa Monica, California, in front of family and close friends, followed by an equally intimate second wedding nearly two months later at her home in Costa Rica.

Later that year, their son Benjamin was born, followed by a daughter, Vivian, in 2012. Brady also has a 15-year-old son from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, Jack Moynahan.

Bündchen, who was discovered by a modeling scout at the age of 13 in Brazil, rose to become one of the industry’s highest-paid models by the 2000s and became a tabloid fixture due to her relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio. She walked the runways of top designers, appeared in campaigns for high street and high fashion brands alike, became a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and appeared in small film roles, including “The Devil Wears Prada.”

In 2015, she took a break from modeling, abandoning runway work and limiting herself to a few advertising campaigns and magazine covers per year. She made one notable exception, crossing a 400-foot (120-meter) runway in a glistening gown and a huge smile in 2016 at the Rio Olympics while fellow Brazilian Daniel Jobim performed “The Girl from Ipanema.”

Since reducing her modeling commitments, she has devoted herself to environmental activism, particularly the conservation of the Amazon rainforest, as well as business ventures such as eco-friendly skin care and a lingerie line. She has also spoken out about mental health, revealing crippling panic attacks that led her to consider suicide and criticizing unrealistic beauty standards.

Above all, Bündchen told Elle, her family was her top priority.

“I’ve done my part, which was to be present” (Tom). I moved to Boston with the intention of creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in, as well as being there to support him and his dreams,” she explained. “It makes me happy to see my children succeed and grow into the beautiful little humans that they are, and to see him succeed and be fulfilled in his career. I feel like I’ve done a good job on that at this point in my life.”

She said she has her own plans after years in Boston, where Brady played for the Patriots, and then moving to Tampa with him in 2020: “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do. At 42, I feel more connected to my mission.”

Brady turned 45 in August, when he left the Buccaneers for personal reasons for 11 days. The team approved of the leave, referring to it as a pre-planned break agreed upon prior to the start of training camp in July.

Brady, a three-time NFL MVP and the league’s all-time leader in yards passing and touchdowns, has also signed a 10-year contract worth $375 million to become Fox Sports’ lead football analyst once he retires. While Brady has expressed interest in playing into his late 40s if he stays healthy, his now ex-wife had a different idea back in 2017.

“That kind of aggression all the time can’t be good for you,” she said in the CBS interview. “I’m hoping he’ll be healthy and do a lot of fun things when we’re like 100.”

Veterans are outraged by Tom Brady’s comparison of football to deployment.

Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and veteran NFL quarterback, recently compared playing professional football to serving in the armed forces, which he said was an insult to veterans.
On the “Let’s Go!” show, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback told Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets, “I almost look at a football season like you’re going away on deployment in the military, and it’s like, “man, here I go again.”with Larry Fitzgerald, Jim Gray, and Tom Brady” podcast.
The reality is that you can only be yourself, right? “There’s really only one way to do it”the alleged ex-wife of Gisele Bundchen, the supermodel, was added.
The estranged family man, who will be making slightly more than a soldier’s wage as a commentator for Fox Sports for $375 million when the NFL retires, was quickly corrected by former military personnel.

“His remarks about comparing a football season to a military deployment was, to me as an Afghanistan Vet, quite insulting,” wrote @angryvet59. “I have a grudging respect for Tom Brady.”
Jason Taravella posted a tweet stating, “My father served two tours in Vietnam, and he and his friends were appalled.”Tell that b–ch @TomBrady to run from bullets, wear boots that are soaking wet for weeks, and be concerned about landmines. The man engages in a truly disgusting sport.
One veteran of combat recalled the late Arizona Cardinals defensive back Pat Tillman, who left the league in 2002 to join the US Army Rangers in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.In 2004, he was killed by friendly fire.
Alberto Romero, a combat veteran who is now a meteorologist, tweeted, “I really really REALLY hope @TomBrady gives a public apology for his ignorant remarks,” along with a Venn diagram illustrating the few similarities between football and military life.
Mr. Pat Tillman, I’m sure, wouldn’t agree with him.

Twitter user Jonathan Adamany echoed this sentiment, writing that Brady’s accomplishments pale in comparison to those of true heroes like Tillman.
Adamany wrote, “Tom Brady may have seven Super Bowl rings, but he is not Army Ranger Corporal Pat Tillman.”
“Way to insult a large portion of your fan base, poorly represent the #TampaBayBucs and #NFL, and possibly have a negative impact on ticket and merchandise sales for the season,”

ANTONIO BROWN TROLLS TOM BRADY WITH GISELLE!!

During the quarterback’s rumored conflict with Gisele Bündchen, Antonio Brown viciously targeted Tom Brady, posting an old photo of him embracing the supermodel after the Super Bowl.

The seven-time champion’s marriage appears to be in jeopardy, and AB, who lived with Brady and Gisele before joining the Buccaneers and Patriots, appears to have turned on him.

Brown didn’t say much about the motivation behind his post; the caption only talked about the viral rap song he released, “Put That S*** On.”

Despite Brady going out on a limb and pleading with AB to get him in New England and Tampa Bay, it appears that the relationship between the two former teammates has deteriorated since his shirtless departure from the Buccaneers last season.

Since their breakup, Brown has criticized Brady on multiple occasions and even attacked him for being away from the team during training camp.

Brown tweeted at the time, “Tom Brady manipulates the game gets 14 days go home get his mind rt lol.” You can now tell the difference. Put on that s***!”

Some people didn’t like the picture of Brown, and NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe called him a “clown” for it.

Bennet Omalu, a “concussion” specialist, advises Tua Tagovailoa to permanently retire from football

After suffering a concussion on Thursday, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been advised by well-known neuropathologist Bennet Omalu to “stop playing” football. Omalu is credited with discovering chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in former football players.
“My brother, Tua.Omalu said, “I love you,” not to Tagovailoa but to TMZ.You are as dear to me as my son is to me.Give up playing.Stop.Take a brave exit and hang up your helmet.
During Miami’s loss to the Bengals on Thursday, Tagovailoa was taken off the field on a stretcher after the back of his head hit the ground during a sack by Cincinnati nose tackle Josh Tupou.
The quarterback remained on the field for nearly ten minutes before being carted off and taken to the hospital, exhibiting the “fencing response,” a reaction typically associated with concussions or other brain injuries. He appeared wobbly when trying to get to his feet four days earlier when his head hit the field during a tackle during the Dolphins’ game against the Bills.
Omalu stated, “My advice to him is, look, it’s time.”You have sustained severe, permanent, and ongoing brain damage. He panicked…if you cherish your life.If you have children, it’s time to courageously leave if you love your family.Find another activity to engage in.
He ought to stop.Sometimes, human life is more valuable than money.Your brain is worth more than $20 billion.
The NFL Players Association fired the physician who allowed Tagvailoa to play against the Bills after he suffered a concussion on Thursday. However, on Sunday, Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate was allowed back into the game against the Chiefs after colliding with teammate Chris Godwin and appearing disoriented during a play in the second quarter. This incident sparked yet another concussion controversy.Brate was taken out of the game in the third quarter with what was determined to be a concussion.
Omalu discovered CTE in the brains of deceased athletes and military veterans in his 2018 book “Brain Damage in Contact Sports.”
On Omalu’s life and work, Sony Pictures produced and released “Concussion” in December 2015.In the movie, Will Smith played Omalu.
Tagovailoa has already been ruled out of the Dolphins’ game against the Jets on Sunday because he is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
-Advertisement – On Friday, Tagovailoa stated in a statement that he is “feeling much better and focused on recovering” in order to resume his duties.
The NFLPA’s executive director, DeMaurice Smith, has pledged to investigate a potential protocol violation involving Tagovailoa committed by the Dolphins.

The issues involving Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady “have nothing to do” with the NFL: It is’sexist’

“The problems are not due to his decision to play football again — sometimes things are complicated,” Page Six was informed by a close associate of the couple.

The insider went on to say that this rumor is “sexist” and wrongly blames the model for their marriage problems, but refused to elaborate.

After she fled to Costa Rica following an “epic row,” Page Six exclusively revealed that the Brazilian supermodel, 42, and her Buccaneers quarterback husband, 45, were in trouble.
Sources tell Page Six that Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s marital problems have nothing to do with his career.

According to insiders, Brady’s shocking decision to resign from the NFL, which Bündchen has questioned in recent interviews, was the cause of their marital spat.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, along with their three children, appear content while huddling together on a bench.

Brady paid for his kids to go to the Bucs’ first game at home, but Bündchen was not there.
Brady was “hopeful” that Bündchen would attend Sunday’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, the team’s first at home. Bündchen was clearly absent.

Brady’s mother and sisters brought the couple’s children, Jack, 15, Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9, onto the field prior to kickoff. The children made a sweet appearance.

While Brady is on the road for his 23rd NFL season, Bündchen is said to be in New York City.
It is believed that the former Victoria’s Secret Angel is still in New York City, where she is working on various projects and fashion shoots.

Brady told sports reporters in August that he missed 11 days of training camp due to “personal s–t,” but the two have not spoken publicly about their fight.

In a September cover story for Elle, Bündchen also talked about how she asked the athlete to “be more present” with their family.

She stated, “I have definitely had those conversations with him repeatedly.”
The model has always publicly praised her husband’s work.

She explained, “I’ve done my part, which is to be there for Tom.”When I moved to Boston, I put all of my efforts into providing my children with a safe haven and a loving environment, as well as supporting him in his pursuit of his goals.

She said, “Now it’s going to be my turn,” adding that she was ready to continue her work as an environmentalist and a model.

Brady and Bündchen representatives did not respond.
